Homeopathy or homœopathy is a system of alternative medicine created in 1796 by Samuel Hahnemann, based on his doctrine of like cures like, a claim that a substance that causes the symptoms of a disease in healthy people would cure similar symptoms in sick people.

The Homeopathy treatment is determined after evaluation of the patient's case in a great detail. The case-study is the most vital part of the treatment, whereby various aspects of the patient's life-style, personality, food-habits, emotional make-up, personal and the family history are evaluated appropriately to decide on the correct medication to treat

Samuel Hahnemann (1755 - 1843)

Samuel Hahnemann was the founder of Homoeopathy. He established the fundamental principles of the science and art of Homoeopathy.

He is called the Father of Experimental Pharmacology because he was the first physician to prepare medicines in a specialized way; proving them on healthy human beings, to determine how the medicines acted to cure diseases. Before Hahnemann, medicines were given on speculative indications, mainly on the basis of authority without experimental verification.
